Why the Name ‘Canoosh’

We needed a good action name to describe the best part of the game — knocking an opponent off the board. Somewhere along the line, Eve had given Jacob the nickname ‘Noosh.’ We combined Noosh with the fact that it comes in a can. ‘Canoosh!’

The Story
Behind Canoosh

Canoosh is a game that was invented by our family during the pandemic. Jeff and Katie (AKA dad and mom) were tired of playing games that were too boring for parents, too complex for kids, or that took forever to finish.

This started us on a quest to create the perfect family game. When playing around with a dice probability chart, Claire, Eve, and Jacob (AKA the kids) started to explore ways to line up chips, knock each other off the board, and create fast, competitive fun. We finally cracked the code and built a collection of games that level the playing field for all ages, skills, and generations.

Canoosh combines luck and strategy and is built on two tenets —

Whether you’re playing on family game night or in the classroom for math and probability fun, we think you’ll love Canoosh as much as we do.
